We invest heavily in ensuring our staff have access to the best possible training and development opportunities. Moreover, we provide all in-house training for our staff, including machinery, vehicles and all technical aspects of the training. This ensures that both our staff and the staff we are training for a client is provided only with the best hands-on experience and practices.
Safety Training
Safety is a top priority for utilities contractors, and here at CGU, we invest heavily in training our employees on how to work safely in a variety of hazardous environments. Our people's safety is of utmost importance because it directly impacts the success of our projects
Operational Training
Employees need to be able to safely and efficiently operate a variety of equipment, including excavators, trenchers, and utility vehicles. At CGU, we provide this through hands-on training where all equipment and vehicles and in-house and ready for use.
Technical Training
Utilities contractors often need to have a deep understanding of the specific utilities that they work on. At CGU, we include training on electrical systems, water and wastewater treatment, natural gas distribution, and many other technical aspects of utility work.
Leadership Traininig
We pay importance to leadership skills and we invest in our staff in ways that help them develop beyond their current role. Our training includes project management, communications, conflict and risk resolution and is geared toward building the leaders of this industry.
