Fibre Broadband Installation
CityFibre FTTP - Swindon
In 2022, CG Utilities was tasked with overcoming Special Engineering Difficulties in Swindon during the installation of new infrastructure to allow neighbouring homes to have faster broadband. Having been made aware of the existence of historic tramlines, CG Utilities successfully and strategically excavated through a narrow gap between the historical structures - including canal tunnels and other ageing infrastructure for over half a kilometre. Due to our approach taken to such a unique and complex set of circumstances, the road was only closed for 17 days and the fibre project could continue at pace.
